A Vision for Wellington's Future

Wellington has the potential to be the most liveable, innovative, and inclusive city in New Zealand.

This campaign transcends political divides; it's not about left or right, it's about forward — it's about progress.

I’m committed to getting Wellington working, because our city deserves better.

Clearing Up Misconceptions About Local Politics

A common misconception is that local politics is solely about "roads, rubbish, and rates."

While essential, local government profoundly shapes our city’s future: impacting housing, transport, climate action, urban design, culture, and community wellbeing.

Many view councillors as mere administrators. But, we are policymakers making strategic decisions influencing everything from city growth to the allocation of millions of dollars. Any perceived dysfunction stems not from a lack of power, but from a need for improved coordination, a clearer vision, and enhanced public engagement.

Your voice in local elections truly matters, as decisions at the council table directly impact your daily life, often more immediately than those made in Parliament.

Unlocking Wellington's Potential

Wellington is talent-rich — bursting with creative minds, skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, and passionate community leaders. It’s one of the things I admire most about Wellington. But, we’re not doing enough to harness that potential. Too often, great ideas are stifled by bureaucracy, and talented individuals feel shut out of decision-making.

If elected, I want to build stronger bridges between Council and the city’s talent pool. That means creating more open platforms for collaboration — bringing in experts, artists, and innovators to co-design solutions for housing, transport, and the climate transition.

I’ll champion inclusive procurement practices to support local businesses and social enterprises. And I’ll push for better support for young people, creatives, and startup founders so they can thrive here, not leave.

Wellington doesn’t need to reinvent itself — it needs to empower the people already here.

Let’s unlock the full potential of this Wellington, by backing its talent.
